Meet Joselyn

Joselyn Dulberg fell in love with the creative possibilities of hair more than forty years ago. Her passion for the versatile image transformations achievable through hair styling led her to explore many facets of the beauty industry, including print editorial, fashion, motion pictures, and platform art. She has worked with some of the most prestigious salons and brands in New York City, including Sebastian, Wella, Redken, Alter Ego, and Salerm.

After co-owning the salon Tangles for three years, she branched out on her own, operating her highly successful solo establishment Twirls Salon for twenty five years in the vicinity of Columbia University in Manhattan. When she and her husband Sam decided to move to St. Petersburg, Florida, her New York clientele was loath to let her go. Her sense of loyalty and care for clients led her to a part-time arrangement with LaVeli Salon, located on West 72nd Street in New York City, where she travels every five weeks to continue relationships with long-standing clients who had entrusted her with their hair. Under her newly created mobile business, Hair by Joselyn in St Petersburg FL, she can develop new and lasting relationships. Joselyn has a wealth of knowledge and experience with a wide range of hair types, as her clients always reflected a diverse community. A licensed cosmetologist both in New York and Florida, she specializes in precision haircuts for men and women, hair extensions, relaxers, perms, keratin treatments, wave nouveau, colors, highlights/lowlights, balayage, ombre, roller sets, and more for every type of hair.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Joselyn lived in New York and New Jersey for over 40 years before moving to Florida. She is blessed to be the mother of three wonderful grown sons, a grandmother of two amazing girls, and a stepmother of two beautiful young women and a loving man. Their dog Milo is a joy in their lives. When not doing hair, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, playing tennis, biking, watching movies, working out, and practicing yoga and meditation. Hair by Joselyn brings a premiere salon experience to each clients. Through a healthy progression in both education and craft experience, Joselyn continues to evolve into a vision of customer care based on the highest standards of service and commitment to customer satisfaction, according to her clients’ features, desires, and personal style.
